I am swaping from porter cable to dewalt. There is not comparaison at all… very efficient. Dewalt is still one of the best. Was looking for thebest that are milwakee fuel but the price is really to high. Nothing can beat dewalt quality , durability, power vs price

This is perfect for projects around the house. I considered getting a 7.5” but glad I got this 6.5” as it’s lighter and easy to maneuver. Also considered getting brushless but I was only going to be odd jobs and it wasn’t going to get a lot of heavy use, I thought this model was sufficient given the pricing difference

Nice smaller size saw but still with a big attitude. Works great in smaller spaces, easy to carry around.

When I first got delivery of my skill saw and opened it up for inspection, I first noticed how cheap the guard was and that it tended to have more wiggle movement while jiggling sideways. I attached a battery to test it and for the most part it seems fine but a I haven’t actually tried it yet so I can’t attest to the quality. So, aside from the flimsy blade guard, I’m not disappointed.Follow up from initial opening and use: I’ve now used the saw on a renovation I’m working on and I found this saw pulls it’s weight and can do the work I want it to do. It’s small but tough and rips through wood like my corded full sized saw can, so I’ll still keep my corded saw but likely use this portable one primarily, bottom line, this is a great little saw, no regrets.

if doing a big project I recommend using a 5 ah battery. Just bought another one for someone for Christmas

It’s not brushless as the Amazon item description states
The saw is fine, it’s just that the Amazon listing states in the details that it is the brushless version of the saw and it is NOT.So watch out to order the model you actually want. The saw itself works good. We have a lot more from dewalt and like the batteries. It just works. We just used it for a few cuts for a shelf and cabinet and that went well.So we have no experience how it would hold up under a “production” environment. For hobbyists it seems to do its job.Should it break I will update the review.

The convenience of cordless
This saw is a nice addition to my 20V tool collection. Not quite as powerful as my 1990 2-1/8 hp Skilsaw but very convenient when making some quick cuts. I was able to cut up a few 4×4 posts with ease.I didn’t find the trigger switch to be difficult to operate and the saw feels good in my hand. Add in a nice Black Friday price and it’s a winner.
