There is much to love about the Ninja Brand of Appliances. I thoroughly enjoy their quality and durability. This has been on my wish list for quite some time as I bought it as a gift for my Aunt and uncle last Christmas. Since then, I have been drooling to own one. Well, I do now and it was worth the weight and the money spent.Air Frying has taken over, and besides the energy savings from not having to heat up your oven as often, the flavor you get when air frying is also unbeatable.I own a Ninja Foodi 12-in-1 1 and it has been a great air fryer, steamer, pressure cooker, you name it. One of my gripes was that as I use the Air Fry function far more often than any other, it was a lot to clean after each use. It has a big inside metal bowl and an air fry insert. The Ninja foodi weighs a lot, and I keep it in one of the corners on the counter in my kitchen. For every use, I would have to pull it out and leave it out to cook, before cleaning and putting it back. With this machine, that is a thing of the past. The machine itself is stationary. No need to haul out the whole unit like before. It lives in the same place as my Ninja Foodi and now, all I have to do it pull out one or both, depending on what I am cooking, food trays.I love that you can cook two different things at the same time, with two different temperatures and settings. I love the smart finish technology and find that ultra-convenient for putting it in and walking away. This machine has received a lot of use since I purchased it and overall I am thrilled to finally own one. Here is one thing to consider, which I hadn’t. With the Ninja Foodi, things cooked faster. This makes sense to me, because it is a more powerful machine and had only one chamber. So French Fries would take about 18 – 20 minutes depending on the cut in the Ninja Foodi. In this machine, they take about 25 – 27 minutes. Perhaps 24 – 26 if only cooking fries in one compartment.Other than that, I am extremely happy with this product. I would definitely recommend the 8qt or 10 qt for families as you can fit a lot of food in there. Also, check out the silicone liners, they help with keeping this thing spotless.

The Ninja Foodi 6-in-1 8-qt. (7.6L) 2-Basket Air Fryer with DualZone Technology has completely transformed the way I cook, and I couldn’t be happier with this appliance. It’s a game-changer!First and foremost, the DualZone Technology is a brilliant innovation. With two separate baskets, I can cook two different dishes simultaneously, saving me time and effort in the kitchen. No more waiting for one batch to finish before starting the next. This feature alone has made meal prep a breeze. The 8-quart capacity is perfect for families. The baskets are roomy and well-designed, allowing for even cooking and a crispy finish, thanks to the air-frying capability.Speaking of air frying, the results are outstanding. Whether it’s crispy fries, golden chicken wings, or perfectly roasted vegetables, the Ninja Foodi delivers consistent, restaurant-quality results every time. It’s a healthier alternative to deep frying without sacrificing flavor or texture. The controls are user-friendly, and the preset cooking functions are a real-time save. The digital display and easy-to-understand buttons make it simple to set the right temperature and cooking time. And for those who love customizing their recipes, there’s a manual mode too.Cleaning up is a breeze as well. The non-stick baskets and crisper plates are dishwasher safe, which is a huge plus for busy households like mine.In summary, the Ninja Foodi 6-in-1 8-qt. 2-Basket Air Fryer with DualZone Technology is a kitchen essential. It’s versatile, efficient, and a real time-saver. Whether you’re a busy parent, a home cook, or someone who enjoys entertaining, this appliance will make your life easier and your meals more delicious. I highly recommend it – it’s worth every penny!

After lots of research, I decided to go with a Ninja basket air fryer. Very easy to use and to clean! An attractive, quality unit. I store it in my pantry and pull it out when needed. It’s on the larger side but not heavy so I can easily move it around.

Saves money on heating up the oven. Lots of learning to get cooking times correct. One medium-large baked potato takes 40 minutes, but tastes 100% better than microwaved. Creates a nice crispy skin that is wonderful to eat. Wings, fries, chicken pieces, sweet potatoes, and more all taste great. Nice quick cooking guide included – but check carefully for “doneness”. Unit works as advertised. easy to programme. I’ld buy it again but other configurations might work better for other people.

I’ve never owned an air fryer before. This one is very easy to use and super easy to clean. I’ve used it at least once a week, usually more. I love the probe because, when you use the air fryer, the outside gets browned but the inside is not always done, especially with chicken. This is a very useful tool and Facebook has a few groups with air fryer recipes and useful tips. Overall, I’m really enjoying this air fryer.

i bought this when it was not on sale, and it is worth every penny. I have had other air fryers and they don’t even compare. this appliance is amazing. you can set two different foods for different times – but have your meal ready at the same time – absolutely awesome. And the best part about it is that is so easy to clean!!!!

I putted off buying an air fryer for year’s thinking it was just another over rated gadget . I needed one large enough to cook for a large family and they finnally made one . Ninja nailed it with the dual zone capability , it’s excellent for 1 person , a large or small portion or 2 different item’s at the same time . Super easy to use but best of all is the flavour ! I’m so happy with this product i highly recomend it !

Learning curve; could use category cook features
We purchased this as an upgrade from our single basket Cosori air fryer. The biggest draw on this model was the dual baskets, which allow for cooking two different things at two different temperatures. We’ve cooked chicken strips and both cooked perfectly and I’m very little time. The biggest drawback however, is that despite the size and bulk of this dual cooker unit, the individual baskets are extremely small. Whereas our old single basket air fryer could easily fit for chicken breasts, only two will fit in one of these baskets, and definitely only one if the chicken breast is oversized. One of the biggest cons about this air fryer that differs from one of our favorite features of our old air fryer is also that there are not any real categories. Our single unit air fryer by Cosori features, photos of bacon, pizza, frozen foods, and other common items that made it very easy to cook something without dragging out an owners manual, or even looking at the directions on a bag of frozen french fries. The single unit cooks things very well and required very little thought in the process. this unit has no such functionality. Even after reviewing all three manuals that came with this unit, it was impossible to find any straightforward directions on cooking, frozen french fries, for instance. What might be written on the outside of the frozen french fry bag, is not always the standard for every unit. What works for my old air fryer would not work for the new one. we experimented and ultimately just decided to go with what we thought was best since there were no air fryer instructions on the particular bag we were using, and luckily everything worked out well. The frozen chicken strips did have air fryer, instructions, and although we did not cook them as long as the bag indicated, I was able to check them frequently, and this air fryer did a sufficient job. If I had to purchase this over again, I probably would not. For the bulk, and this unit is extremely large, and will take up a great deal of counterspace, so that’s something you should know going in, I expected larger baskets and more functionality. I have not tried the dehydrating feature, which is something our old unit didn’t have, but we were interested in, so once I do that I will update this review. Since we’ve only used this unit a couple of times, it is only been washed a couple of times. Both times I threw the baskets in the dishwasher, removing the pans that detached from within them, and tossing all of them into the dishwasher. Everything came out clean, but it’s difficult to say what the dishwasher will do to the nonstick finish over time.

Decent air fryer with poor human interface and defaults
I always feel like I’m wrangling this thing unnecessarily. You twist a knob to select “Air Fryer” (which should be the default function, even if it has half a dozen variations of that) then use up and down arrows to change the default temperature and time. The temperature defaults to a little below maximum, a reasonable choice. The time, however, defaults to 20 minutes. I have never yet cooked anything for 20 minutes. 95% of the time, I’m frying for under 5 minutes to toast bagels or reheat pizza, etc. Occasionally I’m cooking something more ambitious for longer, but almost always under 5 minutes. I’ve contacted the company; there is no way to change the defaults. Defaulting to 1 minute would make so much more sense. When it finishes cooking, it enters a mandatory “cooling” period with the fan still going that you cannot stop, other than cutting power or turning off the unit (both poor choices if you’re still cooking something on the other side). Now say that when you’re allowed to open it up, you see that it could use 1 more minute. Everything has reset. You must select Air Fryer again, then adjust the temperature, then click the damn time down from 20 just to add a minute’s cook time.To PAUSE you press in the knob that controls the function choice; if you happen to hit it wrong, it changes to a different function which resets everything to the defaults again. You have to start over setting the correct function, temperature and clicking down the time again. This is my second Ninja, the first also had odd choices for defaults but didn’t have the mandatory cooling period. For some reason I believed that this model had improved usability but it’s actually worse. There are plenty of other choices that are easier to use.
