I don’t know what happened this year but the fruit flies have been terrible. I’ve been using homemade traps but decided to give this one a try. It caught almost double what my homemade trap caught. The fruit flies really seem to like it and are drawn to it.My biggest issue is that they mostly sit on top then fly away when anyone goes near the trap. I had hoped once they were attracted to it they’d be trapped.

This worked so much better than my homemade one and they look great too! It caught 5 x more and worked right aways. They can not escape and are more attracted as well. Maybe the red color? I will try to reuse them.

The trap is cute and functions adequately. The liquid provided to put into the trap is just plain old apple cider vinegar. So I think you could essentially DIY the product but they are good to have I suppose. Are they worth the price? Not sure

I buy lots of fruit for my family but I could not tolerate the odd fruit fly that would appear in my kitchen. I keep my kitchen sink drain closed because that is where those little pests like to gather and multiply. I knew Amazon would have something to help me get rid of these little pests and sure enough they did. This TERRO Fruit Fly Trap is perfect and is so easy to use. And placing it on my kitchen counter top away from everyday food and preparation is very convenient. It actually looks like an apple so no one knows what it is. Strongly recommend because it will give you peace of mind.

I don’t normally review things I pay for anymore, but this product was so darn effective I just had to, in my household, peaches are bought when in season, and that means fruit flys, they also so happen to live of the IPA’s i drink, so naturally my room is infested with these crettins, alongside the rest of my house, the bait worked like a charm, I went from seeing the damn things all the time to barely at all, they’re population pummeted.I would have payed triple the price to get rid of as many fruit flys are these traps did. Seriously, I would recommend this product. even after the bait losses its luster, the design of the trap is perfect to get rid of fruit flys.

In years past it would take one pack to get all the flies. This time it’s taking 3. I wonder if they diluted the formula.Anyway it’s true what others say, which is they like to sit on top rather than go in for a long time. Hours.I saw two of them having sex on top. For HOURS.When I woke up though there were quite a few extra bodies in the container. Makes you think a bit about the morality of doing this. They are annoying but don’t really harm people do they. There was also a lonely fly that didn’t get any action before he drowned as well. What a Universe.

This past summer was a nightmare here in Ontario for fruit flies. After getting tired of the constant barrage of fruit flies in our kitchen, I search up an appropriate solution and found these fruit fly traps. I set one up in the kitchen near our plants and one in the upstairs bathroom near the spider plant. The effect was not immediate, it took about a day for the first fly to find its way into the trap. Then it happened, like followers jumping off a cliff because they’re told to, the other flies saw their swimming compadre inside of the red apple shaped container and decided to join him. To their own demise, these stupid flies entered the apple to never again return back to flying around and bothering us. Within the week there was not a single fly to be seen anywhere and our swatting and aggravations finally came to an end. Stop being pissed off at the harassment of fruit flies and buy this product. We will likely purchase this again next summer.
